Why is Griffith the best choice?

Griffith is the leading franchise research and education institution in the Asia-Pacific region. Our commitment to franchising is best demonstrated by our Asia-Pacific Centre for Franchising Excellence and strong relationships with the franchise sector.

It's through our relationship with the sector that throughout our franchise education courses you’ll have the opportunity to meeting leading franchise professionals and learn from their experiences as they provide an inside look at franchising.

Our Franchising Specialist Course and our Graduate Certificate are both offered entirely online, or in the class room, so its up to you how you study and you can even combine both on and off-campus learning.

The lectures are really interactive and provide practical examples. This semester for example we had a mock franchise inquiry, acted out exactly how they’re run by the government. Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Queensland Regional Director Alan Decret participated and verified it was exactly like the real thing.

Our teaching team includes industry guest speakers – franchisors, franchisees and franchise professionals – as mentioned above as well as a number of leading academics, such as:

  • Australia’s and one of the world's leading franchising researchers and author of the biannual Franchising Australia study, Professor Lorelle Frazer, who is Director of the Asia-Pacific Centre for Franchising Excellence.
  • Adjunct lecturer and Franchise Advisory Centre Director Jason Gehrke, who has worked as a consultant for more than 80 franchise businesses and run workshops with more than 500 different franchises.
