Science on the Go
The Science on the Go! program is a science outreach initiative of Griffith University that began in 2005.
Our program provides Griffith University expertise to school groups, individuals and organisations within the broader science education community.
We deliver on-site activities at both primary and secondary schools, including:
- development and delivery of practical/laboratory classes
- delivery of specialised technical demonstrations/seminars
- science shows
- field trips
- science trivia challenge
We also enable school teachers and students to take advantage of the laboratory facilities, scientific instrumentation and equipment available at Griffith University. Professional development of primary and secondary teachers is another focus of Science on the Go!
Direct beneficiaries include school students (both primary and secondary), school teachers (both primary and secondary) and Griffith University undergraduates in Science and Education.
In summary, we provide primary and secondary school staff and students access to innovative facilities, resources and expertise.
